Chevy Brings Spark, Sonic and Cruze to SEMA

Chevrolet’s small cars are racking up big sales in 2012 and the bowtie brand will explore their wilder sides at the SEMA Show this year with a stable of stylized Spark, Sonic and Cruzeconcepts. The cars demonstrate the possibilities for customers who want a more personalized driving experience.

Chevrolet previewed the concept vehicles ahead of the Oct. 30 opening of the SEMA Show, the annual automotive aftermarket extravaganza of styling and performance, along with the multihued “The Color Run” Spark and “Pink Out” Spark – a car for a cause. read more »


2013 Ford C-Max Energi Gets EPA-Rated 620-Mile Range

America’s most efficient utility vehicle – Ford’s new 108-MPGe C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid – also has the most range of any utility or compact vehicle with a 620-mile overall driving range as rated by the Environmental Protection Agency.

This means C-MAX Energi customers could drive from Detroit to New York City, San Francisco to Las Vegas, or even Portland, Ore., to Twin Falls, Idaho, through the combined use of the power stored in the vehicle’s advanced lithium-ion battery and one tank of gasoline.
The Toyota Prius plug-in trails the C-MAX Energi by 80 miles at 540 miles of overall range, and the Chevrolet Volt comes in third at 380 miles. read more »

New Car Sales and Surviving the Economic Crash as a Motor Trader

Dealerships in the UK are riding out the economic downturn and actually improving when it comes to year-on-year sales. The longevity of each trader depends on their own doggedness – covering all the business angles to ensure survival and enjoy ‘mini-booms’ in the meantime.

Return on sales upped by 0.2% in July 2012 compared to the same month in 2011 – one of the months which usually prove to be difficult for traders every year, as more drivers look to September for the introduction of fresh registration plates.
