The new MINI Coupé’s mission is a simple one: to maximise the thrill of being behind the wheel. Which I must say, I’m all for because the last offering, the Countryman, was about as fun to drive as a herd of sheep. With the new Coupé, MINI is definitely back on track and doing what they do best – great, pocket-sized desirability with a hint of swagger.

2012 Kia Rio Sedan Priced Under $13,500

Kia today announced pricing for the all-new 2012 Rio sedan beginning at $13,400 MSRP, while the Rio A/T starts at $14,500.  The top-of-the-line SX trim starts at $17,500 and offers an abundance of upscale features, including standard metal pedals, LED front accent lights, LED taillights, a Supervision meter cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, power-folding outside mirrors, dual illuminated vanity mirrors, and UVO powered by Microsoft voice-activated infotainment system with rear camera display. read more »

2012 Green Car of the Year Finalists Revealed

Green Car Journal announced its five finalists for the 2012 Green Car of the Year award today. For the seventh consecutive year, the Green Car of the Year honors environmental leadership in the automotive field, with the winner being announced during a press conference at the Los Angeles Auto Show Press Days on Nov. 17. This year’s five finalists include the 2012 Ford Focus Electric, 2012 Honda Civic Natural Gas, 2012 Mitsubishi i, 2012 Toyota Prius v and 2012 Volkswagen Passat TDI. The Green Car of the Year award recognizes vehicles that become available by January 1 of the award year. read more »
