Customers eager to purchase America’s most fuel-efficient mid-size sedans, the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and Mercury Milan Hybrid, can take advantage of a $3,400 tax credit from the federal government.

Buyers of a new 2010 Fusion Hybrid or Mercury Milan Hybrid this year will qualify for the $3,400 tax credit, the highest credit amount ever offered for hybrids purchased or placed in service after December 31, 2005. Student Innovators to Unveil Environmentally-Driven EcoCAR Designs


In just over a week, student teams selected to participate in EcoCAR: the NeXt Challenge will unveil their cutting-edge plans to design and build advanced propulsion systems that could define the next generation of ‘green’ vehicle technologies. Seventeen teams, selected from universities across North America, are being challenged to engineer advanced vehicle solutions to increase fuel economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

These ground-breaking architectures will be brought to life through a soon-to-be announced green interactive virtual forum that defines innovation and creativity. SSC will incorporate its AESP into thecurrent Ultimate Aero to create the Ultimate Aero EV. Being the “World’s Fastest Production Car,” SSC decided the Ultimate Aero to be the perfect high visibility outlet to demonstrate the capabilities of its new Green powertrain.
